Saliqa's story
The knowledge was there. Natural speech was the missing link.
Saliqa is an independent Saudi nonprofit learning initiative for people who want to develop listening, pronunciation, and spelling through open practical training.
The gap
You may know English well and still not speak it the way you want.
You recognise the word on the page, understand the sentence, and can form a correct expression. Yet natural speech sounds different because of pace, reduced sounds, and connected words.
When it is your turn to speak, you may pronounce every word separately or pause between them. The sentence is correct, but its rhythm does not match natural conversation. This is not always a knowledge problem; often it is a practice problem.
What we found
We found that shadowing brings listening and speaking into one exercise.
You hear a short sentence from a native speaker, then imitate its pace, rhythm, and intonation. With repetition, your ear notices details that were previously hidden and speaking becomes more fluid.
The goal is not to imitate someone else's identity. It is to make your speech clearer and smoother, with pronunciation and rhythm closer to the natural English you hear from native speakers.
Why Saliqa exists
An Arabic platform for the stage after vocabulary and grammar.
We brought the exercise into one place: a natural clip, synced text, clear meaning, accurate sentence timing, repetition, speed control, and voice recording.
Saliqa does not replace vocabulary or grammar study; it completes them. It is a bridge between knowing English and using it with greater comfort and naturalness. The library will focus on British English and varied everyday conversations.

We are building Saliqa from the ground up.
We are developing Saliqa as a nonprofit learning initiative while testing the learning method, recording experience, and timing accuracy. We also seek clear permission from content owners before expanding the library. Our goal is strong natural content, clear rights, and an experience that respects the learner's time.
